Residents, housing providers and local organisations came together last week for the latest housing surgery hosted by Samantha Dixon, Member of Parliament for Chester North and Neston, providing an opportunity for people to discuss housing concerns and access advice and support.
The event which was held at the Crossroads Community Hub in Newton, was one of a series of housing surgeries held by Samantha since being elected, reflecting the continued demand for support on housing issues across Chester North and Neston.
Housing remains the most common issue raised by residents contacting Samantha’s office, with constituents regularly seeking assistance on matters including social housing, repairs, homelessness, temporary accommodation and housing applications.
Speaking after the event, Samantha Dixon MP said:
“Housing continues to be the number one issue coming through my inbox, so it was valuable to once again bring together residents, housing providers and local organisations to discuss concerns and help people access the support they need.”
“These surgeries provide an important opportunity for residents to speak directly with organisations, ask questions and receive advice on the issues affecting them.”
“I would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to a productive afternoon. The continued engagement from residents and organisations demonstrates the importance of these events, and I look forward to hosting further housing surgeries in the future.”
Samantha Dixon MP will continue to work with residents, housing providers and local organisations to help address housing issues and ensure constituents can access the support available to them.
