The festive season across Chester North and Neston is truly magical, with so much happening across the constituency.   

With Christmas lights being switched on across our communities, Christmas markets, carols, annual parades, and the bustling activity on the highstreets and across the local communities, it truly is a wonderful time of year.   

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish everyone celebrating across the constituency a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.   

I want to take a moment to reflect on the strength and kindness our community has shown throughout 2024. Many people have faced many challenges, yet the resilience, compassion, and unity displayed has been inspiring.  

This year the country went to the polls. Support from people in the constituency gave me the privilege of being elected as the Member of Parliament for the new constituency of Chester North and Neston.   

Getting to know the people in the new parts of my constituency has been a particular highlight since the summer. I’d like to thank voters for putting their trust in me and reassure everyone that, regardless of how they voted and even if they didn’t vote at all, I will do all I can to help our local area and local people thrive.   

This festive season, I especially want to acknowledge our healthcare workers, emergency services, and public servants who continue to support us, as well as the volunteers who give selflessly to help others. Their dedication does not go unnoticed, and along with others I am deeply grateful for their commitment.  

I also recognise that the holidays can be a challenging time, particularly those who are struggling or feeling alone. Please remember that support is available.
